Rekindling the Flame

Nurturing Self-Care in the Face of Burn-out

Our society supports the view that what you do is who you are and as people dedicated to
service we could always be doing something more. Typically everyone's needs get met
first and you are always at the bottom of your own "to do" list. If you are "running on
empty" then learn some practical ways to be able to give to yourself and to others from a
place of abundant overflow instead. The workshop is divided into four segments:
  • The spark: our initial influences and inspirations.
  • Feeding the fire: career development, job placement, and lifestyle.
  • Rage and dousing: stress and reaction in the workplace.
  • Bellows for the embers: alleviating stress, nurturing creativity, confidence, and inner
    direction.
Quotes about "Rekindling the Flame" from our most recent seminar (6/23/98):

"A life saver -- I am in deep burnout and am leaving with some energy and enthusiasm. I've also received the tools to keep from getting burned out again."

"I love your knowledge and energy. You present such tough stuff in a light manner."

"The over all climate of the workshop was one of grace. To get out of the legalism of work and move to the grace of refreshing oneself."

"Excellent. The first time I have taken the time to think of my own needs."

"A wonderful day!"
